Base Salary

$88k - $131k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and test existing and new software capabilities and algorithms for the GMD Weapon System Fire Control software team.
  • Support code modernization, including translation of Ada code to C++.
  • Understand and implement complex mathematics- and physics-based algorithms in software.
  • Support reviews of software requirements and test cases.
  • Travel up to 10% as needed to support business requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and two years of related work experience, or a master's degree and zero to two years of related work experience.
  • Recent and extensive software development experience in Ada, C++, or Java.
  • Willingness to become highly proficient in Ada software development.
  • Strong mathematics and physics background and experience implementing complex algorithms.
  • Ability to support an in-person, closed-area work environment.
  • Current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in mathematics or physics; Linux, scripting, and operations experience; MDA GMD program experience; and experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Ansible, Git, or Bitbucket.

  • Annual base salary range is $87,600.00 to $131,400.00.
