$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own customer-facing product features end to end across full-stack front ends, backend services, and APIs.
- Make architecture and technical decisions aligned with user and business outcomes.
- Use telemetry and user behavior to define success metrics, monitor systems, investigate root causes, and guide product changes.
- Design and build AI-enabled and agentic experiences integrating LLMs and AI workflows.
- Set technical direction, influence product strategy, and partner with product managers, designers, and platform teams.
- Raise engineering standards through coding, design reviews, coaching, and mentoring.
- Identify high-leverage problems, prototype solutions, and drive them to production-grade quality, reliability, and performance.
- Lead multi-team technical initiatives, author architectural RFCs, drive cross-functional alignment, and mentor senior engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience across frontend and backend domains, or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with equivalent practical experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise building scalable, accessible, performant, and responsive web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining robust, high-throughput backend services and microservices at massive scale.
- Strong foundation in cloud architectures, distributed data stores, event-driven architectures, caching strategies, and REST/GraphQL API design.
- Extensive experience establishing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing strategies, production telemetry, and service reliability against strict SLIs/SLOs.
- Demonstrated ability to lead high-ambiguity, multi-team technical initiatives, write comprehensive architectural RFCs, drive cross-functional alignment, and mentor senior engineers.
