Responsibilities
- Design and oversee Windows Server solutions using Configuration Manager (SCCM), Group Policy, and CIS-based security hardening.
- Define and enforce best practices for patch management, server software deployment, and disk space remediation.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with CIS benchmarks and internal security standards.
- Monitor system health and performance while proactively addressing risks and inefficiencies.
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce toil and increase reliability.
- Contribute to infrastructure roadmap planning and capacity forecasting.
- Partner with leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Windows Server engineering experience, including SCCM, Active Directory, and GPO.
- Proficiency in Ansible automation, including writing playbooks and roles for patching, reporting, and orchestration.
- Understanding of the Vulnerability Management Lifecycle and remediation planning.
- Experience administering Group Policy and Active Directory for server management, access control, and compliance enforcement.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and YAML scripting for automation and system integration.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, with AWS preferred, and AMI baking/image lifecycle management.
- At least 4+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure infrastructure, Python scripting, Terraform or CloudFormation, and CI/CD pipeline design.
- Experience with Jenkins, CodePipeline, or similar CI/CD tools.
- Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, or Team Foundation Server.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating system administration.
- Understanding of networking principles and technologies, including DNS, load balancers, and reverse proxies.
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS).
- Strong problem-solving, change management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
