Responsibilities
- Develop system and software requirements from equipment-level requirements.
- Identify and debug system-level issues involving aircraft systems and interfaces.
- Troubleshoot issues arising from application testing, flight testing, verification, and validation.
- Contribute to subsystem and system integration, including simulation benches.
- Apply systems and software engineering processes, standards, and certification practices.
- Participate in technical reviews and drive resulting actions to closure.
- Collaborate across global sites in an integrated engineering environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–8 years of work experience with aerospace systems.
- Hands-on experience developing system requirements and using model-based development.
- Programming experience with C/C++.
- Knowledge of avionics architectures and platforms.
- Hands-on experience with system-level testing, system integration, and subsystem benches.
- Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and RTOS.
- Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Dimensions, CC/CQ, or BitBucket and requirements management tools such as DOORS is preferred.
- Understanding of avionics systems/software design, development, and application.
- Knowledge of flight-control systems is an advantage.
