Senior Software Engineer - Tech Foundations
Riot GamesResponsibilities
- Write high-quality code following Riot and industry best practices.
- Build and operate scalable microservices focused on performance and reliability.
- Contribute to service design and development.
- Work across multiple languages, codebases, and technology stacks.
- Develop and adopt engineering tools.
- Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams throughout the product life cycle.
- Perform hands-on coding and code review while maintaining team code quality and maintainability.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of deep hands-on programming experience in one or more of C, C++, Java, Go, or C#.
- Experience operating and maintaining live web services and troubleshooting live issues.
- Experience developing fault-tolerant distributed systems from requirements gathering through architecture, project breakdown, and execution.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Tencent Cloud.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Bilingual Mandarin Chinese and English proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in client game development is desired.
- Familiarity with building game content tools and pipelines is desired.
