Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of data, backend, and ML infrastructure systems.
- Build scalable infrastructure for multimodal content processing.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Managers to shape technical strategy.
- Drive architectural decisions across distributed systems and ML infrastructure.
- Improve infrastructure for AI and LLM-enabled workflows.
- Develop reliable systems for high-throughput content processing.
- Collaborate across organizational boundaries to ensure alignment and quality.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to raising the engineering bar.
Requirements
- Extensive experience building and scaling large-scale backend and infrastructure systems.
- Strong technical judgment balancing scalability, reliability, cost, and product needs.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or Scala.
- Understanding of challenges in processing high-volume multimedia or real-time workloads.
- Experience with AI and LLMs at large scale, including quality and cost trade-offs.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
- Effective communication skills across engineering, product, and leadership.
- Experience leading complex technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.
- Exposure to search infrastructure, recommendation systems, or audio processing is a plus.
- Experience in startup environments or early-stage product areas is highly valued.
