Base Salary
$131k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver complete software solutions across design, implementation, testing, delivery, and operations.
- Oversee projects and ensure accurate, complete, and operable solutions are delivered.
- Contribute to code and design reviews and team-level engineering processes.
- Collaborate with product managers to understand and refine requirements.
- Resolve technical inquiries and explain technical issues to other employees.
- Guide, mentor, and develop junior engineers.
- Make technical decisions based on internal conventions, industry best practices, and nonfunctional characteristics.
- Own service performance and availability, participate in on-call rotations, and provide incident support.
- Design and implement infrastructure supporting fault-tolerant, scalable, globally distributed services.
Requirements
- At least three years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Five or more years of experience with Python or an equivalent high-level programming language.
- Advanced experience with relational and NoSQL data stores, caching solutions, and messaging or queuing systems.
- Hands-on experience operating distributed applications continuously and designing infrastructure for global-scale services.
- Experience with AWS or another public cloud provider, infrastructure as code, database operations, and distributed backend systems.
- Experience with Terraform and fault-tolerant, scalable distributed services and systems.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineers, with strong communication skills.
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
