Responsibilities
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to identify and solve software challenges in power systems.
- Lead or contribute to research projects for power-grid management, automation and control, IoT solutions, and mission-critical systems.
- Develop proof-of-concept and production-oriented software across various technology stacks.
- Design, validate, discuss, and document software architecture and technical solution concepts.
- Build internal and external networks with business units, universities, open-source communities, startups, and vendors.
- Disseminate research results through scientific publications, patent applications, and technical reports.
- Share knowledge and work across interdisciplinary and global teams.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industrial experience.
- Experience architecting, designing, and developing software-intensive industrial products and systems.
- Expertise in several areas including IoT edge solutions, real-time systems, embedded products, OS/kernel/driver development and tuning, or industrial networks.
- Programming experience in Python, C++, C#, Java, Rust, or shell.
- Deep knowledge of software architecture theory, methods, and tools.
- Willingness to combine conceptual research activities with hands-on work and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred qualifications include Azure DevOps or GitHub experience, data engineering familiarity, power-grid or green-energy domain knowledge, hardware or electronics basics, and a record of scientific publication.
- Strong communication skills for presenting research findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
