Base Salary
$155k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Execute projects from prototype hardware bring-up through shipping product.
- Partner with Hardware Engineering to validate component selection and support new product architecture.
- Integrate vendor board support packages and software development kits with firmware and build systems.
- Develop, port, and debug Linux device drivers.
- Improve firmware design, development, and deployment practices.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional programming experience in C or C++.
- Experience with embedded systems, cross-platform development, and build tools such as the GNU toolchain, OpenWRT, buildroot, or Yocto.
- Experience with bootloaders such as U-Boot, coreboot, or UEFI, plus kernel configuration and device trees.
- Experience with I2C, SPI, and MDIO bus protocols.
- Preferred: device-driver development, upstreaming Linux patches, interpreting electrical schematics and technical data sheets, multithreaded or parallel programming, and experience with image sensors, GPUs, ISPs, DSPs, or H.264 video encoding.
