Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own releases for a portfolio of vehicle software components from branch cut through validation, hotfixes, and production deployment.
- Coordinate release readiness across integration, QA, and component teams and secure production-readiness approvals.
- Build and scale automation for branch management, merge workflows, release visibility, and metrics.
- Partner with internal component teams and downstream build consumers to turn their needs into process improvements.
- Create shared release tooling and practices that accelerate software delivery across Zoox.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in release engineering, build engineering, or release management for large, complex software products.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Git, including branch management and conflict resolution.
- Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines with Buildkite, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
- Programming experience in Python or another scripting language, including release or build workflow automation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changes.
- Experience with Bazel is a bonus qualification.
- Experience releasing embedded, firmware, or safety-critical software is a bonus qualification.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a bonus qualification.
