Base Salary

$165k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery process for software and vehicle software, including versioning, build artifacts, packaging, and staged rollouts.
  • Define and maintain build automation, artifact packaging, versioning schemes, delivery pipelines, and pre-launch qualification processes.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Build tooling to track rollout health and support deployment rollback and recovery.
  • Harden packaging and delivery processes for security, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Integrate vehicle software, cloud services, and third-party systems to validate builds and packages end-to-end before release.
  • Improve developer experience through better environments, tooling, and workflows.
  • Support production systems, active vehicle missions, deployment automation, and packaging tooling across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps, release engineering, or platform roles, ideally owning delivery and packaging processes at scale.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure-as-Code, including Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
  • Deep understanding of Linux systems internals, packaging formats, and containerization with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Experience building and maintaining delivery pipelines and build or packaging automation with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Experience with versioning schemes and artifact repositories, including semantic versioning or package registries.
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Bash for automation and tooling.
  • Ability to independently scope and lead infrastructure projects and integrate tools, teams, and third-party systems into cohesive workflows.
  • Systems-level understanding of interactions among software, firmware, and hardware components on vehicles.
  • Strong technical communication and judgment in balancing speed, reliability, and cost.
  • Bonus experience with robotics, IoT, remote or edge-device fleets, OTA updates, GovCloud, ITAR or export-controlled environments, database administration, PostgreSQL, time-series databases, security scanning, compliance automation, or secrets management.
