Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and secure container platforms and cloud-native solutions.
- Develop tools and processes that automate builds, regression testing, monitoring, and releases across environments.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve CI/CD pipeline failures and performance issues.
- Lead container-platform modernization, platform-as-a-service implementation, cloud-native transformation, and enterprise infrastructure modernization.
- Implement GitOps, policy-as-code, automated compliance validation, container-image scanning, software bills of materials, artifact provenance, and secure software supply chains.
- Inform platform strategy and design, recommend resources, and ensure standards are met throughout the containerization process.
- Support application development teams across the software development lifecycle and solve complex technical problems.
- Serve as a technical lead, principal engineer, lead systems engineer, solution architect, chief engineer support lead, or technical authority for complex platforms or mission systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience developing tools and processes to improve DevOps or DevSecOps maturity.
- 10+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness.
- Experience serving as a technical lead, principal engineer, lead systems engineer, solution architect, chief engineer support lead, or technical authority for a complex platform, product, or mission system.
- Experience leading container-platform modernization, platform-as-a-service implementation, cloud-native transformation, enterprise infrastructure modernization, or tactical-edge platform engineering.
- Experience with GitOps, policy-as-code, automated compliance validation, container-image scanning, software bills of materials, artifact provenance, and secure software supply-chain implementation.
- Experience developing, managing, and securing containers and enterprise cloud-native solutions.
- Experience working with application development teams across the software development lifecycle.
- Secret clearance is required and applicants must be eligible for access to classified information.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Preferred experience includes Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, Azure, continuous automation, Kubernetes-based continuous deployment tools, public-cloud tooling, Python, or Linux Shell Script.
- Department of the Navy, Department of War, joint, maritime, afloat, expeditionary, tactical-network, command-and-control, and mission-system program experience is preferred.
- Top Secret clearance and a master’s degree are preferred.
