Base Salary

$130k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

Design, build, maintain, and optimize scalable cloud-native data pipelines and high-volume event-driven systems.
Develop satellite tasking, telemetry, command, data ingestion, image processing, and delivery workflows.
Build integrations with global ground-station networks and support reliable spacecraft operations.
Deploy containerized applications and real-time data pipelines using AWS infrastructure.
Lead development efforts from architecture through deployment and ship production-ready software.
Collaborate with spacecraft, payload, mission engineering, and software teams to ensure flight readiness.
Provide support for critical integration, testing, or launch activities outside standard working hours when required.

U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident status is required.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace, Data Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience focused on cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and backend infrastructure.
Proficiency in Kotlin and TypeScript, with experience in Python.
Experience with Amazon Web Services, especially ECS, S3, and SQS.
Experience with containerized applications and real-time data pipelines.
Strong knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure, event-driven systems, high-volume data processing, and system architecture.
Ability to independently lead development efforts, deliver high-quality code, and manage shifting priorities.
Preferred experience includes Rust, Ray Data Pipelines, astrodynamics, GNC, physics, satellite simulations, and migration across languages, frameworks, or infrastructures.

Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days per week at Xplore headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.
USD 130,000–180,000 annual base salary.
