Lead Agentic Data Systems Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Build and maintain a private ecosystem of 10+ autonomous agents for ETL, synthetic data generation, automated QA, and predictive modeling.
- Design multi-step reasoning architectures, verification protocols, and peer-review workflows for agent outputs.
- Transform ambiguous business requirements into production-ready data products and own them through ongoing maintenance and enhancement.
- Implement governance as code, context-aware agent development, and oversight for data pipelines and agentic systems.
- Develop and maintain Model Context Protocol servers that provide secure access to Snowflake, Salesforce, AWS, and internal data catalogs.
- Use agent fleets for data-pipeline auditing, anomaly investigation, market simulations, knowledge retrieval, documentation, and long-horizon analytics.
- Build red-team agents to identify logic flaws and security vulnerabilities in other agents.
- Review assumptions, uncertainty, remediation proposals, and agent-generated outputs before production deployment or business decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in high-stakes Data Engineering, Architecture, or Data Science.
- Production-grade proficiency with Python, dbt, Airflow, advanced SQL, Apache Spark, and Snowflake.
- Fluency with AI-native development environments such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code.
- Expertise in prompt engineering, chain-of-thought prompting, self-correction loops, iterative reasoning paths, and agentic frameworks such as LangGraph.
- Experience leveraging MCP servers and working with Salesforce Core and Data 360.
- Advanced understanding of Data Mesh, Data-as-a-Product, event-driven architectures, semantic layers, and knowledge graphs.
- Experience running agentic workloads with Docker, Kubernetes, and serverless compute environments.
- Documented use of generative AI to substantially accelerate personal and departmental output.
- Ability to manage end-to-end data strategy for a business unit with minimal supervision and identify logic errors or hallucinations in agentic outputs.
- Strong analytical judgment and the ability to validate methods, assumptions, and uncertainty before actioning decisions.
