Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain the XiP distributed calculation platform and future versions of its calculation engine.
- Help define the long-term strategic direction of the platform, improving performance, resource utilization, scalability, and feature delivery.
- Mentor and guide mid-level developers through technical advice, code reviews, task allocation, and career development support.
- Lead the design and implementation of a CI/CD pipeline suited to a SaaS product and develop an API for controlled user configuration of application properties.
- Improve system testing and develop rapid, reliable testing mechanisms for daily releases of microservice components.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute strategic changes to scale the calculation service for future business demands.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to align scaling initiatives with customer needs.
- Provide specialized customer support to resolve distributed workload issues and optimize calculation efficiency.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software development experience with Java.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Solid experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Quarkus.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is preferred.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test automation frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Cucumber is preferred.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
