Responsibilities
- Define and maintain 1-to-3-year platform roadmaps and target solution architectures aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Design reusable enterprise services, workflow engines, API ecosystems, component marketplaces, and platform capabilities.
- Lead end-to-end architecture for complex initiatives spanning frontend layers, backend services, cloud platforms, systems, teams, and business domains.
- Enforce alignment with the Telstra Reference Architecture Model, TM Forum Open API standards, and enterprise design patterns.
- Embed high availability, disaster recovery, zero-trust security guardrails, and privacy-by-design into solutions.
- Architect internal developer portal capabilities, delivery integration patterns, and test data management.
- Standardize telemetry, distributed tracing, and structured logging using Splunk and New Relic.
- Drive cloud cutovers, technical-debt reduction, and decommissioning strategies for legacy middleware.
Requirements
- At least 3–5 years in a Lead or Principal Solution Architect capacity within a large enterprise or telecommunications ecosystem.
- Senior experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
- Proven experience delivering complex solutions involving multiple systems, teams, platforms, and business domains.
- Strong understanding of architecture principles, distributed systems, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience influencing architecture decisions across large and complex organizations.
- Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale enterprise platform components, API ecosystems, or developer platform initiatives.
- Strong experience designing enterprise platforms and reusable business capabilities.
- Experience applying capability-based architecture and domain-driven design principles.
- Strong understanding of platform operating models and platform lifecycle management.
- Extensive experience designing enterprise-scale cloud-native architectures on AWS, including modernization, integration, event-driven architectures, and platform engineering practices.
