Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design platform APIs and shared primitives with clear contracts, documentation, and upgrade paths for adoption by other teams.
- Profile and instrument real user journeys and ship changes that improve performance metrics.
- Roll out cross-cutting changes safely using codemods, migration paths, and staged rollouts.
- Set technical direction in design and architecture reviews and document decisions and operational expectations.
- Work with product teams to turn development friction into reusable platform improvements.
- Plan, ship, and operate frontend foundations for high-traffic, latency-sensitive workloads in collaboration with engineering, product, design, DevEx, and Design Engineering.
Requirements
- Experience shipping and operating user-facing software in production.
- Experience designing frontend architecture that other teams build on, including frameworks, state, routing, SSR/CSR, and migrations.
- Experience building and operating an API and data layer with REST or GraphQL, error handling, and caching.
- Experience measuring and improving client performance through instrumentation and monitoring.
- Ability to make and explain architecture tradeoffs across user experience, correctness, delivery speed, and maintainability.
- Comfort with modern web stacks including TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
