Base Salary
$225k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead major cross-team platform initiatives from initial development through large-scale production deployment.
- Build shared, extensible agent primitives that Replit Agent can reuse safely and consistently.
- Identify and solve technical bottlenecks involving performance, reliability, correctness, abuse, and observability.
- Raise engineering standards through architecture reviews, code quality, reliability practices, and mentorship.
- Partner across engineering, product, design, product management, and go-to-market teams to improve platform adoption, ergonomics, and velocity.
- Build agent connector frameworks, external agent-facing surfaces, safety and abuse controls, real-time notification systems, core web performance and caching systems, and events and experimentation primitives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Understanding of the full agentic software development stack and how coding agents build, test, and review code.
- Strong track record leading complex projects with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience building and operating platform systems that other teams depend on.
- Experience operating and scaling production systems, including reliability, performance, incidents, and on-call readiness.
- Strong product judgment across user experience, speed, correctness, and maintainability.
- Comfort with modern web stacks such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Postgres.
- Preferred experience in high-engineering-bar or fast-growing startup environments.
- Preferred familiarity with platform and distributed-systems patterns, workflow engines, enterprise identity, abuse protection, cloud platforms, observability, localization, experimentation, event pipelines, agent ecosystems, and developer tools.
