Base Salary
$126k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a secure, reliable, scalable, and efficient platform spanning backend persistence and compute, APIs, and web applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement software solutions that meet business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback on engineering quality and best practices.
- Mentor and guide engineers while fostering their technical growth.
- Participate in requirements gathering, development, deployment, maintenance, and the broader software development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Drive continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one strongly typed language and willingness to work in TypeScript.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Extensive experience with backend technologies, NoSQL and/or SQL databases, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience conducting code reviews and mentoring engineers.
- Proficiency with AI-enabled software development and adaptability to evolving best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with GraphQL, serverless architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, Infrastructure as Code including AWS CDK, agentic AI solutions, tax/accounting/compliance-driven industries, multi-tenant SaaS applications, or technical leadership.
