Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, debug, and deliver secure, high-quality production software for fraud-protection solutions.
  • Review and troubleshoot code written by other engineers while addressing complex technical problems.
  • Monitor performance and scalability across diverse hardware, software, and configuration environments.
  • Advise teams on performance engineering, infrastructure scalability, resiliency, and operational stability.
  • Plan and implement performance benchmarks, comparisons, and automated measurement and analysis tools.
  • Influence business, product, and technology stakeholders and proactively mitigate performance risks.
  • Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, including validation for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation to improve engineering quality and delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, and performance engineering.
  • Advanced development experience with Python, Java, Spring Boot, Aurora PostgreSQL, Amazon S3, and Terraform.
  • Experience with AWS Glue, ECS or EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB.
  • Experience with databases and the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
  • Experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs.
  • Knowledge of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, and compliant engineering workflows.
  • Experience with AI agents or copilots for engineering and in-depth knowledge of financial-services IT systems.
  • Preferred experience with enterprise architecture, API-enabled data sharing, case-management workflow orchestration, vibe coding, and GitHub Copilot.
