Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Review and debug code written by other engineers.
- Lead team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI-generated outputs, secure coding, peer review, and automated testing.
- Identify and automate recurring issue remediation to improve application and system stability.
- Lead evaluations of vendor, startup, and internal technology architectures and technical capabilities.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Experience leading the safe, compliant use of AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on validation practices.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of application resiliency and security.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
- Ability to multitask, transition between different issue types, learn new technologies, and drive innovative solutions.
