Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Lead adoption and validation standards for enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools and practices.
- Deliver system design, application development, testing, and operational stability improvements.
- Identify and automate recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams.
- Drive architecture, workflow, orchestration, and technology outcomes across multiple technical areas.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 8+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading the safe, secure, and validated use of AI-assisted software development tools.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Experience with AWS services including ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, EC2, Kafka, and NLB.
- Experience with databases and all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Advanced understanding of application resiliency, security, and software delivery practices.
- Experience with AI agents or copilots for engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Preferred experience with enterprise architecture, APIs, Kafka, case management workflows, orchestration, and GitHub Copilot or similar developer-assistant tools.
- Preferred conceptual and practical experience with vibe coding.
