Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements for Android applications.
- Own the Android development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
- Write Kotlin code and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable applications.
- Champion TDD and create unit tests to ensure code correctness, coverage, quality, and stability.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold coding standards and software design practices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and stability issues.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for application architecture, code, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to technical design discussions and assess feature feasibility.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teammates on requirements and delivery.
- Mentor fellow engineering team members and support their professional development.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of mobile application development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK and Android Studio.
- Extensive experience with TDD and writing unit tests using testing frameworks.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and software design patterns.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
