Responsibilities
- Configure and operate Palantir tenant settings, including Projects, Groups, Markings, Roles, Resource Queues, Compute, and product-level controls.
- Design and implement enterprise ingress and egress strategies covering connectors, schemas, batch and streaming flows, Marketplace exports, OSDK endpoints, and data-export controls.
- Own permissions architecture, least-privilege standards, provisioning, platform administration, and resolution of platform issues.
- Build and maintain reusable pipeline templates, Ontology patterns, Workshop components, OSDK modules, Marketplace products, agents, utilities, and platform-management workflows.
- Lead FinOps for the Palantir environment, including usage forecasting, compute and storage optimization, licensing utilization, quotas, chargeback, showback, and capacity planning.
- Establish governance for branching, environment promotion, release approvals, change management, documentation, security posture, audit logging, and compliance.
- Provide mentorship and technical direction to Platform Engineering and coordinate with Palantir on upgrades, feature rollouts, and roadmap alignment.
- Present platform strategy, cost-to-value tradeoffs, capacity decisions, reusability ROI, and risk to CTO- and executive-level stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience operating, architecting, and administering enterprise platforms.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Deep hands-on experience administering Palantir tenant environments, including Projects, Groups, Markings, Roles, Resource Management, Compute Modules, and audit or observability tooling.
- Experience with enterprise-scale ingestion, connectors, source-system integration, pipeline scheduling, egress controls, Marketplace, OSDK endpoints, and external API exposure.
- Working proficiency across Palantir Foundry, AIP, Marketplace, and Quiver, including the ability to administer, govern, and componentize platform capabilities.
- Strong Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and SQL skills for platform tooling, automation, reusable components, and remediation code.
- Experience building shared component libraries, internal developer platforms, reusable pattern catalogs, and developer documentation.
- Experience operating an enterprise data platform such as Foundry, Snowflake, Databricks, or an equivalent platform.
- Strong FinOps experience involving usage forecasting, compute and storage optimization, chargeback models, and capacity planning.
- Experience with release management, CI/CD pipelines, and development, staging, and production environment promotion.
- Knowledge of RBAC, ABAC, attribute-based markings, least privilege, identity federation, and SSO.
- Experience supporting SOC 2, NYDFS, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar compliance frameworks and partnering with InfoSec, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Ability to communicate technical cost, capacity, reusability, risk, and platform-governance decisions to senior technical and executive audiences.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry is preferred; Palantir Foundry administration is strongly preferred, while Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or Azure enterprise platform experience is also relevant.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related business field is optional.
