Base Salary
$123k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve scalable internal platform infrastructure across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Design secure, standardized, and repeatable application deployment capabilities and paved-path platform patterns.
- Develop infrastructure-as-code frameworks, reusable platform modules, automation, internal tools, and developer platform integrations.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, developer tooling, observability, resilience, reliability, and engineering productivity.
- Design and operate highly available infrastructure covering compute, networking, identity, and storage.
- Partner with security teams to embed security controls, auditability, and compliance into platform architectures.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or site reliability engineering roles supporting large-scale systems.
- Deep hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud or hybrid infrastructure platforms involving networking, identity, compute, and storage.
- Strong expertise with infrastructure as code and automation frameworks such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience building or improving CI/CD pipelines, developer platform tooling, and automated deployment workflows.
- Strong systems engineering background across Linux-based environments, distributed systems, and infrastructure automation using Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Ability to understand, build, and own complex platform initiatives while collaborating across engineering and infrastructure teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to influence technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
- Preferred experience with internal developer platforms, Kubernetes, commercial and government cloud environments including AWS and Azure, observability platforms, DevSecOps security integration, and defense, aerospace, or regulated industries.
- Preferred familiarity with NIST or FedRAMP frameworks.
