Staff AI Software Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Architect, develop, deploy, and support AI agents and the infrastructure powering them.
- Build MCP servers, tools, and AI-native application experiences using LLM and generative AI capabilities.
- Implement structured prompting, memory management, context management, RAG patterns, embeddings, and retrieval.
- Drive independent end-to-end execution of medium-to-large features and contribute to technical direction.
- Implement observability and testing approaches for AI features, prompts, and model performance.
- Partner with product, design, operations, infrastructure teams, contractors, and vendors on integrations and delivery.
- Lead technical reviews, code review processes, and quality assurance activities.
- Mentor engineers and guide external contractors and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of experience using at least one general-purpose programming language, including Python, Java, or Go.
- Front-end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proven experience shipping production applications incorporating LLMs, MCPs, or AI services at scale.
- Experience leading technical teams and guiding external contractors or vendors.
- Strong experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and advanced containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with technical oversight, code review processes, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Preferred experience includes cloud software architecture, technical leadership, system optimization, Strands, ADK, agent development frameworks, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, LangChain, React, Vue, Angular, advanced state management, pgvector, vector databases, embedding model optimization, enterprise RAG architectures, semantic search, conversation memory, and AI features serving 100,000+ users.
