Base Salary
$138k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software applications for AI/ML platforms and generative AI applications, including agent-based systems, with a strong focus on Python.
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and optimize secure, scalable technical solutions.
- Use Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and cloud platforms to deliver production applications and platforms.
- Work with data scientists and AI researchers to convert experiments into robust, scalable, production-grade applications.
- Automate recurring operational and developer challenges and improve software delivery efficiency.
- Use and critically validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Apply secure coding, responsible AI, resiliency, and data-sensitivity practices when using AI tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Practical Infrastructure as Code experience, ideally with Terraform.
- Hands-on application development, testing, and operational stability experience.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, especially Python.
- Expertise in automation and continuous integration, delivery, and testing methods.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Model Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and basic proficiency in architectural frameworks.
- Experience with platform development and technical processes in areas such as cloud, artificial intelligence, or machine learning.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to evaluate, validate, and refine generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, secure handling of inputs and outputs, data sensitivity, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Preferred: initiative in learning new technologies and mastery of AI tools for productivity.
- Preferred: proactive problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills.
- Preferred: experience with major business-facing integrated application environments, such as risk or trading systems.
- Preferred: strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
