Base Salary
$138k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and maintain secure, scalable production software and machine learning solutions.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementation meets design constraints.
- Build and operate Python web/API services and ML systems across training, packaging, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and decommissioning.
- Analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and produce visualizations and reporting to improve applications and system architecture.
- Develop LLM and agentic AI applications using prompt design, RAG, embeddings, vector search, structured output, tool/function calling, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and promote an inclusive team culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of experience building production Python systems.
- Experience with Flask or FastAPI and the ML/NLP ecosystem, including scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, spaCy, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Experience taking machine learning models from prototype to production, including training, packaging, deployment, monitoring, retraining, and decommissioning.
- Experience with large datasets, distributed compute using Spark, Databricks, or equivalent, and SQL, including partitioning, performance, and cost considerations.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, operational stability, version control, and code review in a large corporate environment.
- Working knowledge of LLM application patterns, agentic AI frameworks, MCP, Google ADK, Arize Phoenix SDK, and Claude skills.
- Preferred experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, MLflow, Databricks Jobs, Apache Airflow, AWS machine learning services, and Amazon Bedrock.
- Preferred knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision, deep learning, reinforcement learning, feature engineering, model evaluation, ML tooling, observability, governance, and financial risk domains.
