Base Salary
$122k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and AI models for business use cases.
- Design reasoning chains, tool use, agent architectures, prompts, personas, tool descriptions, and reasoning scaffolds.
- Define agent capabilities and autonomous decision-making boundaries while managing stakeholder expectations around reliability.
- Develop and orchestrate multi-step AI agents and agentic workflows using foundation models for task automation and decision support.
- Test AI agents against enterprise systems, APIs, tools, and data platforms.
- Design benchmarks and automated evaluations to measure agent reliability, accuracy, and safety.
- Work with structured and unstructured data for predictive and generative AI solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of Data Scientists, setting expectations for model quality, documentation, and production readiness.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists, BI teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI-driven solutions.
- Optimize model and agent performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Monitor deployed models and agents and implement feedback loops and retraining strategies.
- Document technical designs, agent workflows, and system architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience designing and building AI solutions, with qualifications also listing 4+ years in AI/ML, data science, or applied AI engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and evaluation techniques.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and large language models.
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.
- Experience working with APIs and integrating AI into applications.
- Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock.
- Preferred familiarity with Bedrock Amazon Guardrails and Knowledge Bases.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Amazon AgentCore for running agentic AI applications.
- Preferred experience designing multi-agent systems, tool-using agents, and autonomous workflows.
- Preferred experience with Amazon Web Services and MLOps practices including Docker, CI/CD, and model monitoring.
