Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated test frameworks for cross-functional robotic system behaviors within MujinOS.
- Build end-to-end test cases that simulate customer deployments and operational workflows.
- Develop simulation components representing robots, sensors, conveyors, and warehouse systems.
- Analyze test results and system telemetry to identify behavioral issues and performance regressions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to isolate and resolve system-level failures.
- Improve testing methodology and infrastructure across the engineering organization.
- Review code and mentor engineers in testing and quality engineering practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field, or equivalent academic or work experience.
- Proven experience developing production-quality software systems beyond test scripts.
- Experience designing and implementing software test automation frameworks and test cases.
- High proficiency in Python.
- Advanced Linux proficiency with extensive Linux software development experience.
- Business-level English communication skills.
- Experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS, OpenRAVE, or similar is preferred.
- Experience with robotic simulation environments, distributed systems, inter-process communication, messaging systems such as ZeroMQ, Pytest, large-scale automated test systems, and end-to-end frameworks such as Playwright is preferred.
- Familiarity with 3D programming and rendering pipelines is preferred.
- Proficiency in C++ or TypeScript is preferred.
- Business-level Japanese communication skills are preferred.
