Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend solutions using sound architecture, code-structuring, and maintainability practices.
- Contribute to the evolution of the existing architecture and propose improvements to performance, security, and overall code quality.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and mobile teams to ensure smooth integration across components.
- Technically mentor junior developers and guide them on backend development standards and quality practices.
- Ensure code quality through thorough code reviews and automated unit and integration testing.
- Monitor technology developments and propose continuous improvements to tools and engineering practices.
Requirements
- 7+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong command of backend development best practices, design patterns, testing, documentation, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with cloud environments and application development and deployment services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong skills in code quality, automated testing, and performance optimization.
- Ability to technically guide a team, share quality standards, and promote a rigorous and collaborative development environment.
- Startup experience, ideally in fintech, is a bonus.
- AWS serverless experience is optional.
- Interest in DevOps practices.
