Sr. Staff Engineer (Fullstack/Frontend)

Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing frontend systems, including design systems, rendering architecture, system boundaries, and long-term scale
- Drive frontend excellence through improvements to UI performance, accessibility, responsiveness, and visual quality
- Establish organization-wide patterns, frameworks, tools, infrastructure, and governance for quality, resilience, security, observability, maintainability, and scalability
- Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to align architecture and product direction with strategic business goals
- Mentor senior technical leaders and engineers while promoting engineering rigor, talent growth, and continuous learning
- Lead cross-team initiatives from inception through execution by coordinating stakeholders, managing risk, removing blockers, and accelerating delivery
- Translate customer needs, product goals, performance metrics, and user feedback into scalable technical solutions and product enhancements
- Design sustainable systems and team boundaries while proactively addressing systemic risks, migrations, observability, and reliability
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of group-level technical leadership
- Production-grade proficiency with React, Next.js, and GraphQL for high-performance web experiences at scale
- Backend proficiency in Node.js and Python enabling end-to-end ownership of features and systems
- Deep expertise in UI performance, web accessibility, and responsive design
- Experience scaling shared frontend infrastructure, component libraries, or design systems across multiple teams
- Demonstrated ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across functions
- Track record of translating customer and product needs into reliable, maintainable, high-impact technical solutions
- Experience improving developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability
- Exceptional communication, leadership, stakeholder influence, and ability to navigate ambiguity
