Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction, architecture, design, and delivery of custom SDV software solutions.
- Lead design and implementation of SDV application service modules for vehicle state management, feature delivery, remote services, gateways, and in-vehicle AI application hosting.
- Define SDV application architecture, including microservice decomposition, service mesh patterns, API contract governance, and lifecycle management.
- Drive AUTOSAR Adaptive development involving ara::com, ara::exec, ara::diag, UDS application services, service providers and consumers, process lifecycle management, logging, manifests, and deployment configuration.
- Integrate SDV application software with Vehicle OS platforms, including SOAFEE, Eclipse SDV container deployment, resource quotas, and health supervision.
- Architect OTA feature delivery platforms with manifest management, staged rollout, compatibility gating, rollback, and activation safety checks.
- Develop in-vehicle AI inference application frameworks covering model-serving middleware, NPU/GPU runtime abstraction, and inference pipeline management.
- Lead vehicle-to-cloud integration involving bidirectional event streaming, vehicle digital-twin synchronization, and real-time telemetry pipelines.
- Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews and mentor SDV application developers.
- Apply ASPICE Level 2 and Level 3 processes, ISO/SAE 21434 secure-by-design principles, functional safety considerations, and automated testing practices.
- Work with automotive SoC platforms from Qualcomm, Renesas, and NXP.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in automotive embedded software and SDV platform development across domains.
- Advanced C++ proficiency with automotive service-oriented application development on AUTOSAR Adaptive or Linux platforms.
- In-depth expertise with AUTOSAR Adaptive, including ara::com, SOME/IP, DDS, ara::exec, ara::log, manifest authoring, and deployment configuration.
- Experience architecting microservice-based vehicle applications, including service decomposition, API versioning, and lifecycle management.
- Knowledge of Vehicle OS concepts, SOAFEE, Eclipse SDV, AGL, container orchestration, Podman, and OCI image management.
- Experience with OTA-aware application design, feature delivery pipelines, staged rollout, rollback, safety, and version compatibility.
- Strong testing skills with test-driven development, GoogleTest, GoogleMock, pytest, and CI-integrated automated testing.
- Automotive cybersecurity experience with CERT C++, TLS, mTLS, JWT, and certificate-based authentication is preferred.
- Experience with vehicle AI inference middleware such as TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, OpenVINO, or TensorFlow Lite is preferred.
- Knowledge of Eclipse Zenoh or DDS implementations including Fast DDS and Cyclone DDS is preferred.
- Familiarity with Eclipse Kuksa, Kuksa.val, Eclipse Leda, or COVESA data brokers is preferred.
- Exposure to functional-safety-aware SDV application design, including QM, ASIL, and safety tagging in service manifests, is preferred.
- Understanding of UNECE R156 OTA implications for application-layer feature delivery is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Embedded Systems Engineering, with 15 years of full-time education required.
