Base Salary
$170k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive technical architecture and strategy for systems spanning multiple teams.
- Partner with engineering leaders, product leaders, and cross-functional teams on complex, high-impact initiatives.
- Set technical direction and establish engineering standards and best practices across teams.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical leaders, and raise the engineering bar organization-wide.
- Solve challenging technical problems across multiple systems and domains.
- Drive performance, scalability, and security improvements across teams and systems.
- Own major cross-team initiatives from ideation through long-term operational health.
- Evaluate and introduce tools, frameworks, and practices that improve engineering effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including at least 3 years driving technical architecture or strategy across multiple teams.
- Ability to design systems and architectures that scale across multiple teams and products.
- Strong command of CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and DevOps workflows.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional influence, including with senior stakeholders.
- Deep expertise with Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch for high-scale distributed data systems.
- Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs and backend architectures.
- Expert-level proficiency with JavaScript, React, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Deep experience with Redux, Zustand, React Query, frontend performance optimization, ES2015+, TypeScript, Webpack, Jest, and Tailwind.
- Strong understanding of browser rendering, performance tuning, accessibility, and TDD practices.
- Strategic, pragmatic approach to architecture and delivery, with enthusiasm for mentoring and continuous learning.
