Base Salary
$104k - $166k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy IaC and CaC pipelines for enterprise server and service provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Engineer and administer Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform and AWX, including execution environments and platform health monitoring.
- Write and optimize Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation scripts in YAML, Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Automate DoD STIG and security-baseline enforcement across Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows environments.
- Develop API integrations and custom modules connecting automation platforms with hypervisors, cloud providers, IPAM, and ITSM systems.
- Collaborate with systems engineers, network architects, and cybersecurity teams to convert requirements and SOPs into automated playbooks and GitOps workflows.
- Troubleshoot automation pipeline failures, Ansible execution errors, configuration drift, and API connectivity issues.
- Maintain documentation for custom code, automation architecture, IaC repositories, and playbook logic.
- Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and training to enterprise operations personnel.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience with a high school diploma, 10 years with an associate degree, 8 years with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
- DoW TS/SCI clearance is required.
- DoD 8570 IAT II certification and DoW 8140 compliance under Work Role Code 451 at the System Administrator—Intermediate level or higher are required.
- Experience operating in DoW or DoD enterprise network environments is desired.
- Active RHCE or Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation certification is desired.
- Experience with GitOps workflows, Git repositories, and CI/CD automation pipelines is desired.
- Experience automating DoD STIG enforcement and compliance baselines on RHEL and Windows using Ansible, OpenSCAP, or compliance-as-code frameworks is desired.
