Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive web applications using React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Build and maintain documented, testable APIs with FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Implement API-centric frontend and backend architectures for scalable applications.
- Apply clean code, SOLID, error handling, testing, documentation, code review, and static analysis practices.
- Create interfaces for presenting life sciences data and AI insights.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, including automated testing and deployment.
- Apply full-stack security practices including authentication, authorization, input validation, XSS prevention, and CORS configuration.
- Deploy and operate applications across Azure, AWS, and GCP using infrastructure as code principles.
- Integrate logging, metrics, and monitoring into frontend and backend applications.
- Participate in architecture sessions, peer reviews, agile ceremonies, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and AI/ML Engineers in cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Strong experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript, including hooks, state management, and component lifecycle management.
- Experience developing APIs with Python-based frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design, API-centric architectures, and API consumption patterns.
- Experience with clean code, SOLID design patterns, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, documentation, and code quality practices.
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other relational and NoSQL databases, with attention to data integrity and performance.
- Understanding of security fundamentals and cloud-native environments with deployment experience.
- Experience with version control, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience working in agile environments such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Nice-to-have experience includes Next.js, Redux, Zustand, Neo4j, Azure Cosmos DB with Gremlin API, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenAPI, OAuth2, JWT, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
- Knowledge of GxP guidelines, regulated life sciences or healthcare environments, and related compliance frameworks is preferred.
- English proficiency at B2+ level or higher is required; Spanish and/or Catalan is a plus.
