Base Salary

$113k - $238k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Administer Linux systems, including OS installation, configuration, user and permission management, networking, and maintenance.
  • Manage hardware with tools such as iDRAC, including BIOS updates, firmware upgrades, RAID configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot issues spanning operating systems, hardware, networks, applications, data flows, and distributed systems.
  • Use UNIX utilities to create archives, split files, calculate checksums, and prepare data for constrained transfers.
  • Support configuration-management and build-automation workflows using Salt and related tools.
  • Build, deploy, maintain, or validate Cross Domain Solutions and similar high-assurance boundary security technologies.
  • Serve as the Splunk subject matter expert for applications, dashboards, data routing, analytics, and constrained or cross-domain environments.
  • Support DevOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, version control, and monitoring as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications include seven years of technical experience with a high school diploma/GED, five years with an associate’s degree, three years with a bachelor’s degree, or one year with a master’s degree.
  • Strong Linux system administration, UNIX command-line, hardware-management, networking, and complex troubleshooting experience is required.
  • Experience with Salt or adjacent tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform is required.
  • Experience building, deploying, or maintaining Cross Domain Solutions or similar high-assurance boundary technologies is required.
  • Experience supporting or developing Splunk applications, dashboards, data routing, and analytics is required.
  • Experience with at least four listed technologies, including options such as JavaScript, Regular Expressions, Python frameworks, Elasticsearch, monitoring tools, Apache NiFi, React, Angular, Docker, or Cribl, is required.
  • Splunk Accredited Core Implementation certification is required.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Desired qualifications include advanced Linux recovery and command-line expertise, hardware lifecycle operations, Salt customization, mixed-tool automation environments, CDS configuration, constrained Splunk integrations, DevOps workflows, and distributed-system diagnostics.
