Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the architecture of Intercom’s web stack.
- Define the long-term technical strategy for the web team.
- Collaborate with marketing, design, analytics, and data science stakeholders.
- Lead the design and implementation of MarTech systems.
- Partner with engineers across web, infrastructure, and data.
- Mentor and elevate engineers across the team and organization.
- Set the standard for technical excellence in reliability and code quality.
- Provide technical leadership to Engineering Managers and Product Managers.
- Contribute hands-on to the codebase.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience in a high-scale growth-focused web environment.
- Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams.
- Deep familiarity with modern web stacks and infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of data infrastructure and analytics tooling.
- Comfortable working in full-stack codebases.
- Experience in continuous delivery environments.
- Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven ability to mentor and raise engineering excellence.
