Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from automated to AI- and LLM-led localization workflows, initially focused on product UI.
- Extend AI-led pipeline principles across online documentation, marketing, and other content areas.
- Design and evolve scalable event-driven, API-first translation infrastructure and localization delivery workflows.
- Define technical standards, system hygiene practices, engineering documentation, and governance.
- Build AI-powered operational reporting and intelligence.
- Deliver key initiatives hands-on while directing contracted and distributed engineering partners.
- Collaborate across engineering, linguistics, project management, development, and architecture teams.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, ideally Claude/Anthropic, and agentic steps into engineering workflows.
- Experience building reliable, production-grade AI pipelines and programmatic model improvement workflows.
- Ability to design event-driven, API-first translation infrastructure integrating repositories, CMS platforms, databases, and translation engines.
- Strong internationalization and localization engineering knowledge, including string externalization, localization frameworks, file formats, and encoding conventions.
- Understanding of translation management systems, translation memory, machine translation, and integration frameworks.
- Strong scripting ability in JavaScript, Python, and regular expressions.
- Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps principles and frameworks.
- Ability to design solutions that scale across content types and delivery channels.
- Strong documentation, stakeholder communication, and distributed-team collaboration skills.
- Curiosity about rapidly evolving AI tools and developments.
