Senior Software Engineer, IQ Grow
Toast, Inc.Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and monitor high-performing, flexible, and scalable software solutions.
- Ship product features end-to-end from design through rollout, measuring results and iterating based on real-world use.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor less experienced engineers through design reviews, feedback, and agent-assisted engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering velocity and help develop new workflows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend or full-stack software engineering experience delivering impactful products.
- Ability to read and integrate with frontend applications and work across the stack when needed.
- Interest in AI-assisted development and LLM-based agents such as Claude Code.
- Strong software development fundamentals, including code quality, unit testing, and clean code.
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and deliver usable software incrementally.
- Strong communication, collaboration, curiosity, adaptability, and growth mindset.
