Responsibilities
- Own the shared data layer for market and reference data ingestion, feature and signal storage, and the Dagster asset graph.
- Build and maintain the backtesting and simulation engine.
- Develop portfolio-construction and optimization libraries used by portfolio managers.
- Create the model deployment pipeline for promoting research models to production through configuration.
- Build monitoring and observability for live models and pipelines.
- Support risk-factor modeling, exposure analytics, strategy diagnostics, scenario analysis, and portfolio-manager allocation questions.
Requirements
- Strong Python skills plus proficiency in at least one systems language.
- Strong software engineering, system design, and tooling development abilities.
- Solid understanding of quantitative finance concepts including Sharpe ratios, risk factors, backtests, and portfolio optimization.
- Data engineering experience with reliable, point-in-time-correct pipelines.
- A platform mindset focused on repeatable, guarded, self-service tooling rather than one-off scripts.
- New graduates through experienced hires are considered.
- Experience with Dagster or Prefect, Azure, model registries or feature stores, quant or trading firms, serious data platforms, risk modeling, or portfolio construction is preferred.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer visa sponsorship.
