Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable software solutions for the Cost Estimation and Navigation AI portfolio.
- Drive architecture and technical design for distributed services, APIs, and platform components.
- Build and enhance cloud-native applications, microservices, and APIs using service, interface, and messaging patterns.
- Define and achieve non-functional requirements covering performance, availability, failover, scalability, security, reliability, operability, flexibility, and cost efficiency.
- Partner with product, data science, and engineering teams to translate portfolio priorities into production-ready solutions.
- Lead technical initiatives, proof-of-concept development, and exploration of emerging AI and GenAI capabilities.
- Apply data and analytics technologies, including orchestration, non-relational data stores, caching, and large-scale service integration patterns.
- Mentor engineers and contribute through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across teams and organizational boundaries.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements when handling PII and PHI data.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions in distributed systems environments.
- At least 5 years of experience with one or more of Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud-based enterprise solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing modern microservices and scalable, cost-effective APIs.
- At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
- At least 3 years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AI/GenAI platforms and applying intelligent capabilities within software products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; the posting also permits a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- Preferred qualifications include healthcare experience, Google Cloud Platform experience, distributed systems and scalable architecture expertise, cross-team technical influence, ETL and healthcare data management experience, user-facing application development, observability experience, roadmap creation, and strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
