Responsibilities
- Own features throughout the lifecycle, from customer problem discovery and design documentation through implementation, deployment, and impact measurement.
- Shape product direction, squad goals, technical roadmaps, and long-term engineering vision with Product and Engineering Management.
- Design scalable systems and data models while managing technical debt and maintaining engineering quality.
- Define frontend and backend architecture patterns, testing strategies, coding standards, API versioning, caching, and migration plans.
- Lead observability and SRE practices, including SLO definition, incident response, and post-mortems.
- Drive cross-squad initiatives, stakeholder alignment, technical discovery, and resolution of organization-wide blockers.
- Mentor and coach engineers through feedback, design reviews, pairing, and engineering guild participation.
- Use AI tools and agentic workflows for feature specification, coding, code review, and production troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Experience translating complex business goals into technical roadmaps and reducing ambiguity through prototyping or technical spikes.
- Ability to architect scalable, evolvable systems and data models with attention to performance, failure isolation, and maintainability.
- Strong frontend architecture experience, including state management, performance, and comprehensive testing such as end-to-end testing with Cypress.
- Strong backend engineering experience involving API versioning, caching, and complex data migrations.
- Experience with operational maturity, including observability, SLOs, SRE practices, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
- Knowledge of operational security, secrets hygiene, and dependency risk management.
- Ability to mentor engineers, lead design reviews, influence product roadmaps, and coordinate multi-team deliverables.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI-augmented and agentic development workflows.
- Ability to work in person three days per week and live within commuting distance of a Perk hub.
- Resume should be submitted in English, with an updated portfolio and/or resume.
