Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of product features, from understanding customer problems and writing design documents through coding, deployment, and measuring impact.
- Translate business goals into technical roadmaps and de-risk ambiguous projects through prototyping and technical investigation.
- Architect scalable, evolvable systems and data models with attention to performance, failure isolation, and long-term maintenance.
- Define engineering standards covering CI/CD optimization, testing strategies, coding standards, frontend architecture, and backend API, caching, and migration approaches.
- Lead observability and SRE practices, define SLOs, manage incident response, and conduct blameless post-mortems.
- Oversee operational security, including secrets hygiene and dependency risk management.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, contribute to engineering guilds, and raise technical standards across the organization.
- Coordinate multi-team deliverables, resolve technical blockers, and influence product roadmaps with technical data.
- Use AI-augmented development workflows, including agentic workflows and AI-powered code reviews.
Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience with ownership of complex product and technical problems.
- Ability to translate complex business goals into technical roadmaps and de-risk ambiguous initiatives.
- Experience architecting scalable systems and data models for performance, failure isolation, and maintainability.
- Strong frontend architecture experience, including state management, performance considerations, and comprehensive testing such as end-to-end testing with Cypress.
- Strong backend engineering experience involving API versioning, caching strategies, and complex data migration plans.
- Experience with observability, SRE practices, SLOs, incident response, and blameless post-mortems.
- Understanding of operational security, secrets hygiene, and dependency risk management.
- Strong mentoring, technical communication, cross-functional collaboration, and organizational influence skills.
- Experience with or strong interest in modern AI-augmented and agentic development workflows.
