Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, debug, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services and distributed systems.
- Improve existing codebases, identify system-quality issues, establish standard procedures, and conduct peer code reviews.
- Research and apply new technologies, including cloud, DevOps, data, and AI modernization technologies.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and collaborate with colleagues on technical designs.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead work within project contexts.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Work independently, make technical decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience is required, including 3.5 years of Java Full Stack Development experience as specified in the posting.
- At least 2.5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 3 years of experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, Snowflake, software security tools, shell scripting, big data, machine learning, LLMs, and AI modernization is preferred or advantageous as stated.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
