Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis documents, and designs and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
- Enhance and maintain existing codebases, design new systems, and conduct peer code reviews.
- Participate in architecture and code reviews and investigate relevant new technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and assist customer support with technical problems.
- Lead or participate in projects, make independent decisions, and mentor less experienced developers.
- Apply AI-native practices, automation, and engineering toolchains to improve software development and operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is required, including at least 3.5 years of Java full-stack development experience as specified in the additional qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- At least 2.5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments and Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust and highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Experience with React is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, database systems, data architecture, distributed systems, cloud big-data systems, and machine learning technologies.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big-data systems.
- Experience with Pulsar and Snowflake is preferred.
- Experience with software security tools and security-enhancing practices, shell scripting, cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives.
- Strong understanding of LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains, with the ability to translate AI innovation into business and productivity impact.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, collaboration, decision-making, and customer-focus skills.
