Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the backend infrastructure supporting Apstra configuration, telemetry, and analytics.
- Own product packaging, upgrades, deployment orchestration, distributed querying, data merging, system calls, and IPC.
- Develop and optimize Python and C++ hybrid execution, including C extensions for performance.
- Enhance the custom file-based telemetry database and in-house time-series and graph databases through compression, distributed query execution, and performance tuning.
- Build data synchronization, ETL, normalization, and cloud enablement flows between on-premises Apstra and JCloud.
- Support real-time, multi-version enterprise networking workloads across campus, data center, and WAN environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 4–6 years of experience.
- Experience or knowledge in cloud architectures, distributed computing, full-stack development, solutions design, DevOps, security-first development, testing and automation, and related software development fundamentals.
- Ability to work across low-level infrastructure, databases, data pipelines, and hybrid on-premises/cloud environments.
