Base Salary
$140k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core platform services for ingesting, processing, and routing security events.
- Architect the Detection Content Management Platform and build CI/CD and DevOps tooling for detections-as-code.
- Develop scalable, fault-tolerant microservices using Go, Kubernetes, Flink, and distributed databases.
- Evolve the Unified Detections Management system and deliver a consistent detection experience.
- Lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and align multiple teams on complex technical challenges.
- Implement policy, flight-control, and observability features for platform stability and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with Product Management and engineering teams to turn strategic priorities into technical roadmaps.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience focused on large-scale distributed systems and internet-scale challenges.
- Deep expertise in one or more modern programming languages, preferably Go.
- Experience architecting and delivering highly available, scalable platform services in a cloud environment such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Extensive experience with data streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink and with distributed computing concepts.
- Experience in a Staff-level role driving multi-quarter initiatives and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Cybersecurity or SIEM knowledge, including data models and content or rule authoring lifecycles, is a significant plus.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Experience with query languages and runtime environments, low-latency real-time event processing, pattern matching, security domains, or developer/content-authoring platforms is a bonus.
