Base Salary
$179k - $269k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve systems that orchestrate, schedule, run, and monitor large numbers of ML jobs.
- Design reliable software that handles failures, retries, and high load while maintaining accuracy.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs for job submission and execution.
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Review designs and code to ensure solutions are simple, reliable, and scalable.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, machine learning, and data science teams.
- Build with scale and maintainability in mind while iterating on new ideas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with 4+ years of experience.
- Experience in designing high-scale distributed systems.
- Prior experience with large-scale job scheduling or workload orchestration platforms.
- Expertise in back-end languages such as Kotlin, Java, Go, or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems for reliability and asynchronous processing.
- At least 6+ years of experience actively coding and designing.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
