Base Salary
$217k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and improve security-focused ML models for Reddit’s GenAI traffic.
- Own model development end to end, from problem definition to retraining.
- Use modern deep learning architectures where appropriate.
- Design rigorous evaluation suites for various security scenarios.
- Improve model precision, recall, latency, and operational reliability.
- Build repeatable MLOps workflows for model management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security models.
- Work with Reddit’s ML platform to facilitate model iteration.
- Translate security goals into measurable model outcomes.
- Provide technical direction and expertise to other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building, training, and deploying ML models.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle.
- Experience with data pipelines and large-scale datasets.
- Experience designing rigorous model evaluations.
- Experience shipping production-quality software, preferably in Python or Go.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to partners.
- BS degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Experience applying ML to security or GenAI problems is a plus.
- Familiarity with MLOps or model serving systems is a plus.
