Responsibilities
- Lead technical privacy-by-design reviews for new features and major architectural changes.
- Translate global privacy regulations into engineering standards, frameworks, and tooling.
- Evaluate and mitigate privacy risks in AI/ML systems, including training data pipelines and model outputs.
- Build and operate data-rights systems and privacy-enhancing technologies such as data minimization and de-identification frameworks.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and threat modeling for high-risk data processing.
- Design privacy-preserving analytics and measurement systems.
- Partner with legal, policy, product, and engineering stakeholders on privacy policies, notices, and technical solutions.
- Develop customer-facing privacy trust documentation and support privacy incident response.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years focused on privacy or data protection.
- Deep understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and emerging global privacy frameworks.
- Experience building scalable technical controls for data classification, lineage, retention, and deletion.
- Familiarity with privacy risks in machine learning systems, including training data sourcing, model memorization, and inference privacy.
- Strong foundation in privacy-by-design principles and hands-on product-development experience.
- Ability to translate complex regulatory and legal requirements into clear engineering specifications.
- Experience with cryptographic techniques, anonymization, and de-identification frameworks.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with legal, policy, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies and willingness to use them to improve productivity and decision-making.
