Responsibilities
- Build developer experience features including self-service flows, onboarding experiences, and configuration interfaces for DeepL APIs.
- Implement reusable platform components and contribute to API documentation, client libraries, SDKs, and starter templates.
- Collaborate with API Core, Enterprise, Core Text, Voice, and Customization teams on consistent API design and shared standards.
- Write tested, production-ready code and contribute to code reviews, monitoring, alerting, reliability improvements, incident response, and postmortems.
Requirements
- Have solid backend development fundamentals, experience with RESTful APIs and server-side systems, and proficiency in Go, Python, Java, C#, or a similar language.
- Be comfortable contributing to frontend work such as developer dashboards or signup flows using React and TypeScript.
- Demonstrate a developer-centric mindset focused on clear abstractions, useful error messages, and documentation.
- Take ownership of production code, testing, monitoring, incident follow-through, and continuous improvement.
- Use AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging.
